More About Little Lights
Little Lights works with at-risk students that live in the Potomac Gardens, Hopkins, and Benning Terrace communities in SE Washington, DC. For over 26 years, Little Lights has provided intensive youth academic programming for vulnerable students living well below the federal poverty line.
Little Lights' new College and Career program will provide students with an ongoing support system that helps them to contend with the obstacles that keep many low-income students stuck in a cycle of poverty and under-achievement.
Together we will walk this often complicated journey with our students by providing extra help academically, guidance with the high school lottery process, advocacy on their behalf to schools, and assistance applying for college, financial aid, and scholarships.
